The National Ghana Parade Council (NGPC) is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting Ghanaian and African heritage, culture, and unity within the diaspora.
Ghana Parade Day has since been held in every first saturday in August and has grown beyond a parade into a festival bringing together New Yorkers, visitors to the city, and Ghanaians from across the New York metropolitan area and further afield to revel in the sounds, sights, and delicacies that are hallmarks of the Ghanaian culture.
Ghana Parade Day has evolved into a vibrant cultural festival celebrated annually in August, transforming New York City into a sea of red, gold, green, and black star. The event brings together people of all backgrounds to experience the beauty, creativity, and warmth of Ghanaian culture. More than just a parade, this festival is a grand celebration of unity, diversity, and national pride, bringing together New Yorkers, visitors, and the Ghanaian diaspora in one unforgettable experience.

Ongoing operations and time-limited programs delivered by the National Ghana Parade Council would not be possible without the altruistic support of its volunteers who share in our mission and vision to promote Ghanaian culture and heritage, celebrate Ghanaian and Ghanaian-American achievements, and to empower and strengthen the Ghanaian community.
The National Ghana Parade Council works to develop and maintain alliances with other Community Based Organizations (CBOs), for-profit organizations, and African communities across the New York metropolitan area and beyond who share in our mission to promote Ghanaian culture and heritage, celebrate Ghanaian and Ghanaian-American achievements, and to empower and strengthen the Ghanaian community.
